Why all “fad diets” secretly work
I tried Paleo and lost 5-10 pounds.
But so did my friends on Keto, Whole30, and Mediterranean.
What’s going on? Are they all magic?
Nope.
These “fad diets” help you do 3 things.
1) Toss out refined carbs
These diets eliminate sodas, sugars, breads, cookies, cakes, chips, and grainy treats.
Without them, nutrient density is restored.
2) Replace with protein & fiber
These diets prioritize meats, fish, vegetables, legumes, and fruits.
These foods are full of protein and fiber, which makes you feel more full than refined carbs ever will.
3) Clean up snacking & drinking
Without refined carbs, snacks are fruits, nuts, and vegetables.
And drinks are water, coffee, unsweet tea, and milk (dairy depends on the fad diet).
What does this all mean?
You don’t have to diet hop to lose weight.
You just need to consistently follow a system with these 3 principles.

My go-to stretch when my lower back is on fire.
This targets the trifecta of muscles that cause back pain: hips, hamstrings, and glutes.
Rest, eat well, move, moderate caffeine, limit alcohol, and get some sleep.
The basics always work.
I was on the “Fatherhood Fitness Podcast” with Anthony Pluff.
Anthony and I talk about stress, swamped schedules, and making fitness habits stick for dads.
🏆 Client Corner
Jeremy had a swamped schedule that made his life a blur.
He took 2-weeks off but made a commitment to hop back on.
And he followed through on his commitment.
