Walk like a baby giraffe

I picked up my first kettlebell in 2022.

I felt like a baby giraffe learning to walk.

  • It felt awkward in my hands

  • I did swings completely wrong

  • Cleans took me 4-weeks to figure out

But in 6 months I failed forward and learned how to do it.

I started kettlebell coaching in January 2024.

I felt like a baby giraffe learning to walk.

  • Sent pdf workouts

  • Changed softwares 3x

  • 20-30+ hours/week on top of my 9-5

But in 8 months I failed forward and was able to quit my job.

I started full-time entrepreneurship in August 2024.

I felt like a baby giraffe learning to walk.

  • Heard “NO” at least 1,000x

  • Made $696 first month full-time

  • Wanted to quit more times than I remember

But in 18 months I failed forward and by the grace of God I’m somehow still standing.

Here’s my point.

No one wants the baby giraffe stage.

But no one gets to skip it.

And each “new level” requires starting over as a baby giraffe.

Humility has to come before honor.

If you’re starting your own fitness journey, or building your own thing…

I’m walking like a baby giraffe too 👊
