Roadtrip Donuts

I woke up my kids at 5:33a on Wednesday for donuts.

This is a roadtrip tradition.

(we drove to Florida)

Our first roadtrip stop is at the donut shop 1 minute from my house.

  • My three kids know their donut orders

  • My wife and I order breakfast burritos

This happens once/quarter.

Makes roadtrips with my 3 kids special.

Sometimes I don’t think much about ingredients.

I wanted to make memories in the minivan.

🔎 Finds

This diet was popularized by Tim Ferris.

Proteins + veggies + legumes. 1 treat day/week.

Personally, I find this too restrictive (no berries or dairy?)

But the 1 treat day/week is a good principle I think all diets should incorporate at some level.

Makes space for donuts & breakfast burritos once/quarter.

This is a breath technique to reduce heart rate and stress levels.

  • 4 count - breathe in through the nose

  • 4 count - hold

  • 6 count - breathe out through the nose

  • 2 count - pause

I used to do this stuff back in my Martial Arts days. It works.

Yes4All has become my favorite kettlebell brand to order from Amazon.
