No motivation? Find your “thing”

My dumbbells were dusty. Hadn’t used them in weeks.

And my body felt dusty too.

I hit a brick wall with fitness. And it was worse than no motivation.

I didn’t even like exercise anymore.

The dumbbells I dropped $800 on sat unused in a corner of my garage.

But one night at 9p I doom-scrolled through Instagram.

And saw a guy swinging a kettlebell around like a toy.

It looked different.

It looked…. fun.

I had a grimy kettlebell in my garage.

Picked it up.

And immediately felt the potential.

That was January 2022.

It’s been fun for 4 years.

I didn’t need motivation.

I just needed to find my “thing”.

If you’re stuck with fitness… maybe you just haven’t found your “thing” yet.

🔎 Finds

New U.S. food pyramid.

It’s inverted from the old one.

Finally focusing on whole, nutrient-dense food.

Protein, veggies, fruits, and dairy.

I like it.

3 years ago I was over-committed. Stressed. Stuck.

What helped me?

Redeeming Productivity.

Can’t recommend the RP Academy enough.

Sat down with Albert Ramos on the Owner’s Seat podcast.

Talked about business, kettlebells, and calling.

More business-y. But lots of fun.

He was a great host.
