My wife and I started a youth sports league
My wife and I homeschool our 3 kids (8, 4, 2) and wanted to get them involved in sports.
Without sports eating up dinner table time, Saturday mornings, or Sundays.
The idea: what if kids met 1 hour/week on weekday mornings?
60 minutes/week learning the sport, embracing competition, but mostly having fun.
We sent surveys to 22 friends asking if they’d be interested.
There was demand.
So we piloted this in Fall of 2025. 40 kids joined that first season.
In 10 months, it’s grown to 350+ kids and almost 200 families.
If you told me 10 years ago I’d be running this + my kettlebell business, I would have laughed in your face.
lol.
We call our league Wolf Pack.
It’s one of the best parts of our week.
🔎Finds
This stretch brings so much relief to my lower back.
I do these after I’ve been sitting for a while.
It unlocks my hips & glutes.
I devoured this book.
It’s the story about how an obscure summer college baseball team from Savannah, GA became a global phenomenon.
It’s quirky.
It’s funny.
It’s appealing (if you like banana puns)
And it’s inspirational for anyone trying to do something that feels a little different.
