I said I’d never be a runner. 3 things changed.

When I hit my 30s, I told myself I would never be a runner.

  • “it’s bad on the knees…”

  • “it’s not fun…”

  • “it’s boring…”

And now… I’ve started to run again. No knee injuries.

I like it.

I’m not sure I’ll ever be a marathoner.

But I enjoy a jog 2-3x/week.

Here are the 3 things that changed.

  1. I got shoes & socks that feel amazing

I look forward to putting these on every time I go for a run.

(no affiliate links, just fun)

  1. I avoid concrete

I avoid sidewalks and concrete, and instead run on grass or trails.

This saved my knees.

  1. I got started with friends

A 13-mile Spartan Race with 5 friends got me into running.

I’ve signed up for more group events since.

Knowing I’ll be running with others gives me a major motivational boost.

Fitness is more fun with other people anyway.

Hope this serves the inner runner you didn’t know you had.
