Finding food freedom with fried chicken

One of the guys in Kickstart40 told me that logging food was bringing him freedom.

I asked what he meant.

He said his old way of eating was “buffet-style”.

(Translation: eat whatever looked good until the shame stopped him)

He was stuck. And 25-30 pounds from his feel good weight.

But now?

He’s finding freedom.

He said logging feels like following a budget.

And he’s climbing out of food debt.

Last weekend he had Raising Canes. Chicken fingers. Some Texas Toast.

And he’s still down 10 pounds.

Because it fit his budget.

That conversation reminded me of Proverbs 25:16.

“If you have found honey, eat only enough for you.

Lest you have your fill and vomit it out”

Logging tells us when enough is enough, before regret kicks in.

You won’t log forever.

But a few months of it can reset your habits, provide structure, and create freedom.

Fried chicken and buttery toast included.

3 levers to pull with nutrition.

1) How much you eat

2) When you eat

3) What you eat

Love this next quote -

“Always pull one of these levers; often pull two; sometimes pull three”.

The breakfast burrito with 2,730 calories blew my mind (#2).
